Journalists love digital media - why?

I've just read an article in PR week about a recent survey carried out with journalists that revealed a high proportion of them believe the rise of digital mediums has improved content. I think I'd have to agree, as I provide an awful lot of it! Seriously though, the instant gratifcation factor cannot be underestimated and whatever you want to say to your audience can now hit their inboxes within minutes of you thinking it thanks to emails, blogs, RSS feeds and Twitter. To get the results you want from it though - it has got to be quality and relevant so no just posting up any old random thought that comes into your head! Communications planning is the way to go.
